Before you lock up for the winter
Plenty of homes on this coast stand empty from autumn to spring. Roller shutters are a physical barrier on every window and door they cover, and they keep the sun off the furniture while you are away. But only if they go down, and come back up, when you need them to.
A strap that is fraying in October can snap in December, with the shutter stuck halfway and nobody there to see it. Have them checked before you fly, while there is still time to put things right.
Motorised or manual
Motorised shutters open and close at the touch of a button, which matters when there are a dozen windows to do before you leave. Manual shutters are simple and traditional, with a strap or crank. We fit both, made to size, and we will tell you which suits the house.
Shutter repairs
Snapped or frayed straps, slats that have slipped out of line or jammed, and motors that have stopped responding. We repair shutters whoever fitted them. Send a photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you straight whether it is a repair or a replacement.
The awning, while we are there
Winter wind is hard on an awning left out or left neglected. While we are at the house we can look over the fabric, arms and motor, and if it needs a re-cover or repair, it is done before the spring rather than during it.
